CIV JONES

As a multi-media personality with a good grounding in Communications, Civ Jones distinctively approaches and addresses today’s culture from a relatable and conscious standpoint that raises awareness and keeps her peers plugged in on current topics. Being an On-Air personality for over 15 years and a lover of Hip-Hop culture, Jones has been educating, motivating, and mentoring the Hip-Hop generation through various media forms.


A professional in the radio field, Civ Jones served as the Producer/Co-host for the Larry Young Morning Show,” midday personality for Baltimore’s Magic 95.9, weekend personality for Delaware’s Kiss 101.7, and Board Operator for all four Urban One stations in the Baltimore corridor.


Jones, a former Mental Health Advocate with K.E.Y.S Development LLC, is actively involved in community advocacy and community organizing. She has participated in and helped to bring many projects, events, and workshops to fruition, serving in different capacities such as Program Director, Logistics Coordinator, and Project Manager. Her passion for helping people enabled her to acquire grant funds from various organizations that went towards building a broadcast studio at Connexions High school and providing her former clients the resources to fulfill their needs. She has received a Governor’s Citation for the iVote initiative to encourage young adults about voting and is recognized by various community organizations for her work.

Civ Jones is an award-winning public speaker who is known for her zest and ability to capture the attention and minds of her listeners. This is evident in the fact that various organizations have recognized her work and invited her to give speeches at different events. She was featured on BET: Baltimore Speaks: A BET News Special, included in the City Paper Article “The Women of Baltimore Hip-Hop Are Slowly Taking Over The Game,” and landed the featured cover at the Baltimore Times for her innovative events. 


Jones is an Army Veteran and graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Communication Studies. She was born in Germany, cultured in Hawaii, raised in Aberdeen, Baltimore gave her street credibility, and Atlanta is now where she calls home.
